Proposal for Yorokobu magazine

I created two versions for the cover of Yorokobu magazine. What do you think? I started the process in the traditional way, using tracing paper and pencil, and then did the final touches digitally. The original design, with thicker letters, felt like it needed some refining, and as I worked on the details, I ended up with the second version, where the letters intertwine with the character's pupils. I really like the idea of this character having the colors of a "normal guy" but inverted, which adds to the sense that in this "upside-down world," things are different, and a floating human head can have letters woven into its eyes
